Gene is responsible for business development, operational support and the valuation of assets for the company. He is focused on sourcing, structuring and executing asset management assignments for healthy and distressed businesses nationwide. Gene has over 25 years of experience in the commercial and industrial appraisal industry. He most recently was a Vice President of Business Development for an international appraisal firm, where clients included lending institutions, law firms, restructuring advisers, private equity funds, and corporations. Prior to his business development role, he was an operational Vice President and director of the largest Machinery and Equipment Valuation practice dedicated to asset based lending worldwide. He has directed hundreds of appraisals across a wide range of industries for asset based lenders and major corporations around the world. Gene has completed valuation work in countries such as Mexico, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom. 

 

Gene started his career in the appraisal industry with American Appraisal Associates on the west coast. He was responsible for valuations in the public sector, including schools, cities, colleges and universities, and water and waste water districts. In 1991 he moved back to the Midwest to lead the central region for a newly formed company, Valuation Resource Management, where he was names Vice President. His responsibilities included overall production, scheduling, and training. He joined AccuVal Associates in 1997 and was instrumental in their significant growth in his roles as appraiser, operations executive and business development officer.

Gene is qualified as an expert witness for the United States Bankruptcy Court System. Other professional affiliations include the American Society of Appraisers (ASA); Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries (MBBI); and the Wisconsin Professionals Network (WPN). Gene is also the Milwaukee Co-Chair of the Turnaround Management Association's (TMA), Chicago Midwest Chapter, where he is an instrumental member of the Milwaukee Programs Committee and is actively involved in planning over 10 networking and educational events for 2017. Gene is also active with the LaBelle Yacht Club in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, where he is the Vice Commodore for 2017, leading the club’s sailing regattas and involved in the clubs leadership as a board member.
